ALOR STAR: He was born without arms. His feet are slightly bent, causing him to 'drag' himself to move around.
Despite his disability, Muhammad Hadi Darus, 15, from Felda Sungai Tiang, Pendang, has learnt to overcome the obstacles in his life to function as a normal kid as well as to excel in his studies.
Yesterday, Muhammad Hadi, who uses his left foot to write, was among 2,276 Form Three students who scored straight As in their Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examinations in the state.
The SMK Sungai Tiang student obtained 9As in Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Science, Living Skills Kemahiran Hidup), History, Geography, Islamic Education (Pendidikan Islam) and Arabic.
Muhammad Hadi, the second of five siblings, said having supportive parents, teachers and friends have helped him achieved flying colours in the examinations.
